It’s Called Starting Over, Not From Scratch

2.17.23

It’s been a long time since I’ve written on this blog, but I’m back and ready to take up space. In the past year and half , I’ve had big wins and I’ve experienced big losses. What I’ve learned from all of that is everytime I had to hit the refresh I was smarter each time. I was never starting from scratch or inexperience. I was simply starting over. Everyone’s fresh start can look completely different and sometimes those steps are bigger than others. Your restart can be getting a new job, while someone else’s can be moving to a whole new state. It’s all about taking a leap of faith and trusting god to do the rest. Your new start can sometimes can look just how the last chapter looked in the beginning, that’s not going backwards as long as mentally you know, trust, and feel it’s pushing you to move forward. Author Courtney Peppernell wrote in her book “ Pillow Thoughts “ , a very important message that I think is crucial to this post today. She said “ You can’t skip chapters, that’s not how life works. You have to read every line, meet every character. You won’t enjoy all of it. —But you have to keep going “ . Keep going and starting over is the important part. No matter how big or small it is . Whether your in a new chapter or starting a whole new book, either way it’s growth, and no you won’t enjoy all of it, growth and comfortability don’t go hand in hand. Polar opposites to be exact. The most difficult part of starting over for me was letting go of characters from the last chapter but eventually we realize some people just don’t understand your plot of the new story line( new life plan ). If you need help determining when it’s time to reestablish old connections you should definitely go back and reread my previous post “ Determine Old Connections “. The best part about that is though you can meet new people. The characters get better in the sequel sometimes. In the end , the choice is up to us as people to be able to let it end and have faith that better will take place. God doesn’t take anything away without replacing it with something better. The best part about all of this though is that this new chapter or new story is yours to write. Before I realized that I’ve had chapters with wins, losses, tears, and even some that it felt like it would take forever to finish. Life is what you make it, so make it the best it can be. Growth can be uncomfortable and it’s unknown of how it will play out , it’s something new that’s the point. It can even seem a little scary, but nothing is more scary then staying stuck especially when you know that you are meant for more. Author Tori Amos said it best “ You gotta know when to turn the page “ . This is my new page. Same blog. Same name. A whole new set of wisdom though. For anyone that is a new reader I really recommend going back to read my previous post and to also check out my “ All About Me “ page to get to know the woman writing this. I really hope you enjoyed todays post and have an amazing rest of you day or night. Remember that your voice matters and deserves to be heard. So speak , speak up as loud as you can . Just be sure to speak with love 💕
