“ Flaws are my Floorplan “

3.13.23

The best part about writing on my blog is that it’s mine. I can be as transparent as I please. Two of the most important things that I value is authenticity and self awareness. I have never said to be perfect and I will never fix my mouth to say so. If I say that I am perfect that’s me claiming that I’m done healing, growing , and learning which is never a good thing. I am perfectly flawed though. I have never been one to see my flaws as imperfections. I saw them as floorplans or a roadmap if you will. The first thing I did when I decide to change my life around to cater to me and who I want to be. Was look at myself in the mirror and write down everything I thought was wrong with myself personality wise of course. (I’m gorgeous already and so are you) If you can’t think of a single thing that you can be better at as a person, friend, mother/father, daughter/son, or gf/bf. Then might I suggest an ego death meditation love. It’s blocking your healing, because the truth is we are not perfect people. For example, I told myself “ sometimes you get overly angry in certain situations “ . Then you think back on those situations where I’ve exhibited that behavior. Realized it’s not that I have anger issues, I see that sometimes I lack self control. Which I have learned now is one of the most crucial fruitages of the spirit. Trying that exercise is a light introduction into shadow work as well. Take a good look at yourself and let all your flaws lead you to the parts of yourself that need some extra attention and love. We know ourselves better then anyone else better one this earth. Don’t ignore your “ flaws “ flirt with them a little bit. Get to know them. Don’t let your ego make you hide parts of yourself or try to ignore these toxic traits in your personality that could potentially be hindering your soul from flourishing. Please do not think that I am saying there is a single thing wrong with any of you because that couldn’t be further from the truth. To reiterate my previous statement, your “ flaws “ are the floor plan to your growth. The only real flaw would be to think that you have nothing to better about yourself. Brene Brown says, “ If we shield ourselves from feedback, we stop growing “. The best part about it is that once you’ve accepted your flaws, no one can use them against you. Give your own self the feedback before you give another person outside yourself the chance to tell you who you are. You are nothing but a, “ masterpiece and work in progress “ ,at the same time. It’s important to remember when you are healing the parts of yourself that you know need some work. Don’t be upset if you go back to another situation and fall short on progress you’ve made on your “ flaws “. You’re not perfect and neither are your floor plans. Healing isn’t linear, sometimes I still revert and that’s okay. Acknowledging that you didn’t use the new practices you’ve been trying to work on is a great step though, it means you’re aware. When I say speak with love, I don’t just mean to others, you’re included too. Definitely, definitely, and I can’t stress this enough DEFINITELY speak to yourself with love when it comes to your “ flaws “ , because like I said , they are parts of ourselves that just need a little extra love. I hope you’ve taken something from todays post. Share with your friends , family, social media, or anyone you may know who need some help learning to map out their own healing floor plans.
